Why a Mentoring Lounge?

Individuals who are ready to return to work with confidence or want to future proof their careers will participate in interactive sessions about the most important topics: clarify, create and connect to communicate their aspirations in the world of digitalization and in these times of uncertainty. They will be inspired to pick up new methods to prepare themselves to return to work and they will have lots of questions about the ‘how’. 

How does it work?

For mentees, meeting with senior professionals who have already ‘done it’ and have got experience and expertise to share, the Mentoring Lounge will be the place to continue breaking down the steps to realize their plans.

Mentors may not have the answer to all the questions asked but you can get to start exploring possible answers together!

What happens in a Mentoring Lounge?

 Successful mentoring requires a commitment of time from both the mentor and mentee. It is not coaching where the coach guides and supports the coachee through questions but a two-way dialog, exploring different possibilities and paths. 

Mentees will be asked to outline their needs and/or goals and realistic expectations prior to the event start either online or on a short form on site. 

  1. What is your ideal job to return to like? 
  2. What is the most important thing that would help you move forward to make it a reality?
  3. What would make your mentoring dialog valuable to you? 

Mentors will have a look at those to see how to best prepare for the discussion. 

The discussion focus on:

  • One-on-one
  • Approximately 30 minutes long
  • An opportunity for the mentor and mentee to have a focused yet relaxed dialog about the way forward.

Mentor and mentee may choose to stay in touch after the conference, on their own accord.
